About Spicer & Wood - Unique Homeware Full of Personality

 

Spicer & Wood was founded in 2017 after I moved into my first flat in Stoke Newington and became obsessed with interiors - spending far too much on candlestick holders and discovering how much personality the right pieces can bring to a home.

From a young age, I have always loved selling and discovering beautiful things. As a teenager, I sold plants from the end of my driveway, and while at university I set up a vintage clothing store. After graduating and working in the interiors world for several years, I got the itch to create something of my own - and Spicer & Wood was born.

The name Spicer & Wood was inspired by my great-great-grandfather, who also lived in Stoke Newington and ran his own business as a grainer and painter. Initially started as a side project, Spicer & Wood grew over several years before I took the business full-time in April 2021.

We believe the best homes are not created by simply following trends, but by surrounding yourself with pieces that reflect your personality. We search for homeware with character - objects that make you smile, start conversations and become part of your everyday life.
