These mugs, created by Magpie in collaboration with Hornsea, features a striking bright yellow geometric flower pattern. Hornsea Potteries, founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, began as a producer of seaside tourist trinkets. Over time, it evolved into the world’s largest studio pottery, employing over 700 people and gaining acclaim for its innovative and inspirational designs.

Hornsea’s rapid rise was fuelled by its unique, groundbreaking techniques and creative vision. Though the company ceased trading in 2000 after 50 years of operation, Magpie has revived some of Hornsea’s most iconic designs, starting with the illustration works of celebrated designer John Clappison.

As passionate mid-century design enthusiasts, Magpie believes the legacy of Hornsea Potteries deserves to be cherished and enjoyed by future generations.

We aim to process orders within 2 working days (we do not have collections on the weekend). During busy periods this may take a little longer. All orders are sent on a tracked service and delivery usually takes around 3 – 5 working days. 

You will receive an email notification from Royal Mail with your tracking details once despatched.

Please double check the delivery address is correct. If your parcel is required to be re-delivered, there may be additional shipping costs.

 

Returns 

Notify us within 14 days, and we'll issue a full refund to your original payment method once returned. Only unused products in original condition and packaging will be refunded. We will refund the paid amount with the exception of any shipping charges that were applied to your order. We don't refund fees incurred for the return itself. Items used for photography, events, or any form of display are considered used and are not eligible for return.
